Great article. I've read the Great Mental Models myself and enjoyed it. I don't deploy all the mental models written in the book, but it has inspired me to discover some of my own.

For instance, one of my favorites is the advantages of being humble (emotionally and mentally). You get further in the world by being humble and seeing the whole picture more because you're not blind sided to get the results you want. And, just in case someone wants to get the upper hand against you, because you've got the bigger picture, you're already prepared. - I made up the term the general idea is well known.
